The Cross Is Intimately Personal

And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. John 19:17–18

Do you know that Jesus died for you personally on the cross? Yes! He had you specifically in mind! 2000 years ago Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world. What you need to know in your heart is that He died for you personally even though you were not even born yet. Jesus did not die on behalf of mankind but in each persons place individually! Jesus the God-Man died in your place and experienced the penalty and wrath of God for your specific sins at a personal and detailed level. The cross is personal to Jesus for each and every one of us. This is a colossal difference that you should take hold of personally from the Lord Himself. He wants you to know that He did it for you. Once this truth is in your heart from a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ it creates an endless source of gratitude. Serve God from the wonder of the cross! Go and take hold of it today. He is waiting for you.

But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray.
