THE GOSPEL

Jesus Christ loves you.  He died for you.
Please scroll down to learn about God’s plan for salvation.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

THE GOSPEL

Dr. Greg’s greatest desire is for people to personally know the God who created them, loves them, and died in their place so that they might have eternal life starting now. Getting saved is easy! This section will explain Biblical salvation and the Gospel (good news). Watch Dr. Greg explain the Gospel and below it is a special animated presentation to make it easy to understand.

THE STRAIGHT GOSPEL

YOU ARE A SINNER

The Bible says:

“There is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:10

“That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

All of us have broken the Law of God at one time or another. We have all lied, stolen, and had evil thoughts in our hearts. These are signs and symptoms that we have a fallen sinful nature. We are born spiritually dead and separated from God. This cannot be overcome by “good behavior” or doing good deeds. A person cannot be saved by his or her own merit.

“There is none who does good, no, not one.” Romans 3:12

“Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
Ephesians 2:9

THERE IS A PRICE TO BE PAID FOR SIN

The price for sin is death. This means “Eternal Separation” from God.

This death is both:

Physical = “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12

Spiritual = “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

JESUS PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR SIN WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

“But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned, every one, to his own way, and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:5–6

He did this because He loves you and created you. He has an awesome plan for your life.

JESUS CHRIST WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD ON THE THIRD DAY TO PROVE THAT HE IS GOD AND THAT HE ACCOMPLISHED HIS MISSION TO CONQUER DEATH AND PAY FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16–17

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.” 1 Corinthians 15:3–8

YOU MUST REPENT OF YOUR SINS

The word “repent” means to change your direction. It does not mean to start being a “Good Person.” It means to have a change of heart, a change of mind and a change of action towards God and away from sin.

“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.” Acts 17:30–31

YOU MUST PERSONALLY RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR

This is very important. Many people think that they will get into Heaven because they have been raised in a Christian home, attended church, or participated in Christian rituals (baptism, communion, etc.) This is simply not true. You must personally give your life and your heart to Christ. It is a free gift that you must personally receive from God.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12–13

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord they shall be saved.” Romans 10:9,13

This is Great News. And if you think it’s great and would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then pray this prayer from your heart and God will hear, forgive, and set you on a straight path that leads right to Him. You can have eternal life that begins right now. God is not concerned about reciting certain words, but the state of your heart:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and were raised from the dead the third day. Please forgive me of all my sins and save me. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I will be able to live my life for you. I receive your gift of salvation. Make me the person you want me to be. Thank you. Amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer, according to God’s Word you are a Christian!

"I never expected Biblical salvation to be not only misunderstood but rejected by people claiming to be Christians. The words saved and born again caused problems when they are spoken by Jesus Christ Himself. I was floored by how misunderstood the entire point of Christianity is. Salvation is easy. The Lord did it all on the cross. It is man who has narrowed the gate not God.”
